Hello Everyone!

We are planning to stream a game of Root from the office at 2:00 PM CST live on our twitch channel which you can find HERE! The developer of the new expansion Nick Brachmann will be showing off the Moles against some of the base game factions. Come watch, chat with us, and get a peek at the Moles in action! 

SXSW Gaming Awards

Tonight at 7:00 PM CST the South by Southwest Gaming awards will be live streamed HERE! Root is nominated for two awards so Cole and Patrick are down in Texas showing off the expansion and preparing for tonight's event.

SXSW Details, Livestream Tomorrow, and some Shipping News

 Good morning everyone! 

As Patrick mentioned yesterday, this weekend he and I will be at SXSW showing off Root: The Underworld Expansion.

If you happened to be in Austin for the show, you can find us in the Tabletop Experience at the Austin Convention Center in Exhibit Hall 2 both today and tomorrow. We don't have a booth, but will instead just be running demos near the Discovery Stage, between aisles 1700 and 1900.

Then, on Sunday, we'll be giving a talk about the creation of Root on the Discovery Stage at 1pm. Sometimes these talks are recorded and made available afterwards. If this happens, we'll be sure to give you all a link.

For those of you not at the show, tomorrow the folks in Saint Paul will be doing a livestream of a game featuring the Great Underground Duchy and the Exiles and Partisans deck. They be posting a link to that stream when it goes live tomorrow.  Hopefully we'll see you then!

Finally, we wanted to let everyone know that we are currently in talks to expand our shipping network, hopefully to include countries like Russia and Brazil. As soon as we have a solution on that front we will be sure to update everyone. If you'd like to see another country added to the shipping cost list, please send us an email at [email protected].

I had a feeling when I woke up, today was going to be a day I wouldn’t soon forget. I cannot imagine I will forget this day as long as I live. We just passed the original Root campaign’s funding in less than 14 hours! What! How is this even possible? You have to be kidding me! Obviously funded and then some! Thank you everyone! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I would also like to thank my team that worked diligently to help me design and develop this expansion, getting the campaign ready, and help answer your questions. A message in an update cannot possibly convey how thankful I am to the backers and to my employees.

A few people have noted the lack of stretch goals. We have decided to forgo them this campaign and offer the free things up front. This keeps the design manageable and allows us to deliver a quality product to you. That being said as the whim strikes us we reserve the right to add stretch goals.

Tonight and all weekend I am at SXSW. Cole and I will be demoing the expansion Friday and Saturday. On Sunday we will be talking about the creation of Root. So yeah I flew on the day I launched a Kickstarter!
